Hidenori Sakuma

Emeritus professor of Tsukuba University (Ph.D., D.Litt.). He is also coordinator of the subcommittee on "Depth Psychology (Vijñānavāda, Abhidhamma, Psychoanalysis, Analytical Psychology, etc.)" of the Japanese Association for the Study of Buddhism and Psychology. Hideho Arita

Emeritus professor of Tōhō University (School of Medicine) (D.M.). A neuroscientist, he has shown how meditation has close links with his speciality of serotonin (→ website of Serotonin Dojo).

Kenryō Minowa

Professor in the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, University of Tokyo (D.Litt.). His publications include Buddhist Meditation. Some of his publications can be downloaded here.

Jirō Hirabayashi

Research fellow at Institute for Comprehensive Studies of Buddhism, Taishō University (Ph.D.). A specialist in Sanskrit literature, he is conducting research on the recitation of verse sections of Vijñānavāda texts and on the measurement of brain waves.
